Course Description

The course is designed for non-Georgian-speaking guides working in Georgia who wish to improve their basic knowledge of the Georgian language and develop communication skills needed for professional activities.

The training is delivered fully online and combines theoretical materials, practical exercises, real work-based examples, and interactive assignments. Throughout the course, participants learn essential words, phrases, and expressions used in everyday and professional contexts, helping them communicate more effectively with drivers, service staff, and local residents.

The course includes:

  • Basic Georgian vocabulary and expressions
  • Forms of greeting and introduction
  • Professional terminology used during tours
  • Phrases for communication with drivers and transport services
  • Vocabulary used in restaurants, hotels, and other service establishments
  • Communication in emergency situations (ambulance, police, safety issues)
  • Practical exercises and tasks based on real work scenarios

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to conduct simple professional communication in Georgian and act more confidently in everyday work situations.

The course can be completed at a pace convenient for the learner.

The course is free of charge for members of the Georgian Certified Guides Association.
